An
Notice saving account is a savings account that you have
to give a certain notice period to withdraw funds from.
Depending on the account this length can vary. It could
be you have to give 30 days notice or 100 days notice. These
accounts are good as you will likely get a better rate of
interest than you would in an instant
access account, but as the money is more "tied
up" there may be chances of an interest penalty but
only on the amount withdrawn if you don't give the notice
required.
If
you are comfortable that you won't need to get at your money
instantly, or have an idea or know when you need access
to your funds then a Notice savings account could be a better
way to go.
